why video games are so attractive/addictive for their users?

There are several reasons:

1. Intrinsic motivation: the main reason to play a game is the game itself

2. Learning:  user learns a lot of things from the game, and he feels his mental growth.

3. Challenge (complex fun): A variety of challenges must be given to the players.

4. Mastery: good games are easy to get the basics,

5. Action moves: Some moves which consist of some actions like fighting, shooting,                     racing, etc.

6. Social interaction: There should be social interaction in your games.

7. Mastery: Give power to the player, with playing the game, or completing of level player should feel as if he is on the way to grooming, mental grooming, and the power status of the player in the game.

8. Fantasy: There should be something that can hit the fantasy level of the player.

9. Exploration: Some things which should be discoverable or customizable

 Mobile video games and hyper-casual games consist of 2 or 3 reasons why these games are highly addictive and attractive to their users. if we add all of these features to a game then the size of this game will increase and then it will not count as a hyper-casual game.
